God: “Like Monit, Only Awesome”

Being a fan of Monit, I find the Ruby-based God interesting. It looks quite new, and I’m guessing that it’s a little premature to put on production servers. According to its website, its features include:

• Config file is written in Ruby
• Easily write your own custom conditions in Ruby
• Supports both poll and event based conditions
• Different poll conditions can have different intervals
• Integrated notification system (write your own too!)
• Easily control non-daemonizing scripts
